Eureka Spire Camp Stove Review
The Eureka Spire LX is the larger version of their Spire camp stove. The Spire LX model can accommodate pans up to 10” and 12” side-by-side, perfect for cooking your eggs and sausages at the same time! The Eureka Spire camp stove has a rotary dial ignition, so you don’t need a lighter to start the flame, but you will need to turn the burners up to their max output. The simmer control knob takes about 4.5 turns for the stove to be at the max 10,000 BTUs.
The high-output 10,000 BTU burners have JetBoil’s simmer control. So, you can adjust the output to your desired setting whether you are putting a sear on a steak or want a low even heat for cooking pancakes. In addition to the Eureka Spire camp stove having JetBoil’s simmer control, you can also daisy-chain stoves together using one power source to create the ultimate kitchen stadium!
The Spire camp stove is constructed of rugged steel with rubber bumpers on the corners and non-slip rubber feet on the bottom. As a result, this helps to protect against movement on slippery surfaces. Also, the cooking grate is made of durable nickel-plated steel.
Due to its removable nickel-plated steel cooking grate and removable top lid, it’s a breeze to clean up. Also, the side windscreens can fold outward to quickly clean the camp stove after you’ve cooked a delicious feast.
Dislikes
In order to use the push-button ignitor, you need to turn on the simmer control knobs entirely on (about 4.5 turns). In general, if you don’t know this bit of information, you would think the ignitor doesn’t work and grab a lighter to start the flame.
Fit and Sizing
The packed dimensions of the Eureka Spire LX are 22” wide x 13” deep x 4.5” high and weighs only 10.75 pounds (not including the propane canister). Because the top lid is secured to the main chassis by a metal clip and has a handy cut-out on the bottom, you can easily carry the camp stove from place-to-place.
Common Questions
Question: Does this come with a carry case?

Question: Can you use a 20 lb propane tank?
Answer: It’s primarily designed for the 1 lb propane bottles, but you can buy the 20 lb hose here.
